Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S24 phone made waves with its AI features, and now, the company is extending these capabilities to older devices and other gadgets. Galaxy Buds users are in for a treat, as two new AI features are on the horizon for their earbuds.
One of the standout features is tailored for face-to-face conversations. This update allows Galaxy Buds users to speak directly into their connected earbuds’ microphone, with the words appearing as translated text on their screen. This eliminates the need to pass the phone back and forth during conversations.
The majority of the AI features on the Galaxy S24 operate independently on the phone, negating the need for an internet connection. However, these features are exclusive to the Galaxy S24, so users with different Samsung phones won’t be able to access them, even if they have Samsung earbuds.
Samsung has announced that the new features will be available through an over-the-air update for Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Buds 2, and Galaxy Buds. The rollout is expected to happen over the next few days.
It’s worth noting that Samsung has stated these Galaxy AI features will be free until the end of 2025. After that, there may be a charge associated with using them.
