Approval Granted for Regularization of 227 Daily Wage Teachers

The federal cabinet has given its approval for the regularization of 227 daily wage teachers serving in schools and colleges under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for the past decade. This decision followed a request from the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to regularize these employees who had successfully cleared the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) test for grade-16 and grade-17 positions.

Out of approximately 300 daily wage teachers who took the FPSC exam, about 60 did not meet the qualification criteria. Caretaker Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi expressed that the Ministry of Finance has sanctioned the necessary positions, and the process of regularization will be completed promptly. He emphasized the importance of addressing educational challenges promptly, stating that teachers and students are integral to the nation’s future.

During the cabinet meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, the attendees also paid tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the security of the polio team in Bajaur. The cabinet strongly condemned the terrorist attack on police officials and offered prayers for the departed souls. The caretaker prime minister reiterated that the nation would never forget the sacrifices made by these martyrs, acknowledging that they had given their today for our tomorrow.
