Starting in August 2024, the GPA/CGPA system will be implemented across all boards in Punjab. Students receiving their HSSC/SSC part one results in 2025 will have both their GPA/CGPA and marks listed. For part two results, the GPA/CGPA will be mentioned. However, from 2026 onwards, only the CGPA/GPA will be included on the result card for both parts, with no mention of marks.
- From next year (for the new session), only Islamiat will be given in class 9th, while in class 10th, only Pakistan Study will be given.
- Each paper will have 100 marks.
- Islamiat Compulsory 100 Marks Paper for class-9th will be held in 2025 and Pakistan Studies 100 Marks Paper for class 10th held on 2026. Now the papers for these subjects will be like the 1st year and 2nd year.
- Intermediate Part 1 exams will start on 7th May 2024.
- In the coming year 2025, there will be PEC exams for the 5th and 8th classes in all government and private schools. There will be no admission to classes VI and IX without taking the PEC exam.

- Matric Science and Arts will be in English medium in Punjab Board from 2025.
- From 2026, all optional subjects in FA will also be in English medium.
- This year, the Punjab Board matriculation result will come after 4 months as per the previous schedule, like before COVID-19, instead of 3 months.
- Matric Part 2 exam will start from 1st March 2024 while Matric Part 1 exam will start from 19th March 2024.
- Matric Part 2 result on July 20, 2024 while Matric Part 1 result will come on 19 August 2024.
- Now matric and intermediate students in all boards of Punjab can improve their marks as many times as they want for four years. Before this, students could improve their marks four times within two years, but now they can take the exam to improve their marks as many times as they want in four years. This law will be applicable to all the boards in Punjab.
- 10th grade roll number slips have been released, Private students can go to their board website to get their roll number slips.
- This time, the marks obtained in the practical subject in class 9 will be written on the Class 10th roll number slip. This will help the teacher taking the practical to assess the child’s ability.
- Punjab Examination Commission will upload the data bank containing the questions in the last week of February. School heads will prepare the paper from online data by February 28. Annual examinations will be held in government schools from March 7 to March 20. In government schools, the results of the students will be announced on March 31. The next academic session will start from April 1, 2024.
