A notification has been issued on 12-01-2022 in connection with the Punjab Regularization of Service (Amendment) Act 2021 by the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. Further detail of said notification in same is as under;

The Punjab Regularization of Service Bill 2021, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Punjab on December 28, 2021, and assented to by the Governor of Punjab on January 12, 2022, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab.

An Act
Further to amend the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018.
It is necessary further to amend the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018 (XV of 2018) for the purpose hereinafter appearing.
- Short title and commencement.– (1) This Act cites as the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2021.
- (2) It shall come into force at once.
- Amendment of Section 4 of Act XV of 2018.—In the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018 (XV of 2018), in subsection (2) of Section 4, for the full stop appearing at the end, a colon substitutes and thereafter the following proviso shall add:
- “Provided that notwithstanding anything contained in this subsection and subject to section 3 of the Act, the Chief Minister may, in relaxation of the Provisions of the relevant rules, in the Public interest, specify posts and regularize the services of the contract employees, without reference the case to the Commission.”
