A notification regarding To Discontinue the Use of Dilapidated and Dangerous Public School Buildings has been issued on 30th October 2023 by School Education Department ,Govt of Punjab Lahore. Further detail is as under;
DISCONTINUATION OF THE USE OF DILAPIDATED / DANGEROUS BUILDING OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS

It has come to the notice of School Education Department that dilapidated / dangerous school buildings in your respective districts are being used for educational activities by teachers and students. This practice may put in danger the lives of students and teachers. The Competent Authority has shown serious concern on the safety of children and teachers.
I am directed to request you to discontinue the educational activities in dangerous buildings of schools and arrange an alternate place for educational activities. It is also directed that necessary action be taken to dispose of the dangerous building / rooms of schools under the provision of Second Schedule, Part-I, Clause- 0(ii) of The Punjab Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, 2016.
