Quaid-e-Azam Academy For Educational Development has issued a notification in connection with “Training Of Head Teachers, Teachers, Caregivers and School Council Members In Newly Established ECE Classrooms in 1500 Schools Under UNICEF Face/ICE March-May 2022 and issued the following directions to all CEOs, The Reginal Program Managers (Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan Divisions) and the QAED Heads of all districts.
Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) initiative is the firm commitment of Government of the Punjab and School Education Department (SED) to bring reforms in the education system across the rovince. The ECCE is aimed to embed learning and holistic development in all children in their formative years. Moreover, Single National Curriculum, 2020 also introduces Early Childhood Care & ‘Education (ECCE) at the pre-primary level.
The Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED) is responsible for developing ECCE classrooms in public schools of the Punjab along with the training of the staff. So far QAED has developed around 18000 ECCE classrooms and trained around 60,000 school staff including head teachers, teachers, school council members, and caregivers.
Now QAED has planned to develop more new 1500 ECCE classrooms and to make these classrooms functional in different districts with the support of UNICEF. QAED will conduct training of Teachers, Head Teachers, School Council Members and Caregivers on ECCE in districts Jhelum, Chakwal, Khanewal & Kasur where these classrooms are being developed.
