Government of Sindh has declared a public holiday on 27 December 2023 throughout Sindh, including Karachi, in memory of Benazir Bhutto’s anniversary.
On this day, Government and Private institutions, local councils, and administrative offices of the provincial government will remain closed on 27 December 2023. This closure reflects the deep respect and admiration for Benazir Bhutto’s contributions and legacy.
The People’s Party has announced a detailed program for the sixteenth death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. It includes recitation of Fatiha and Quran in the morning across the country, starting in Larkana.
Supporters from various parts of the country will lay sheets and offer Fatiha at Benazir Bhutto’s grave. A communal lunch will be distributed at 1 PM. This will be followed by the main rally starting at 4 PM, with a speech by Bilawal Bhutto at 5 PM, concluding the day’s events at 7 PM.
