Pakistani Passport Ranks Among World’s Worst 2024

UK-based citizenship and residence advisory firm, Henley and Partners, has once again rated the Pakistani passport as one of the worst in the world in their latest rankings.

Over the past five years, Pakistan’s passport ranking has not seen any improvement. According to the most recent Henley Passport Index, the Pakistani passport now stands as the fourth-worst globally. The Global Mobility Report for 2024 by Henley and Partners places Pakistan’s passport at 101st out of 104, with a score of 34. This means that Pakistani passport holders can enjoy visa-free access to only 34 out of the 227 destinations covered by the index.

The ranking, which evaluates approximately 199 passports based on the number of countries and territories their holders can access without a prior visa, positions Pakistan just above countries like Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, with scores of 31, 29, and 28, respectively.

In contrast, India maintains its ranking from the previous year at 80, allowing Indian passport holders visa-free access to 62 destinations. At the other end of the spectrum, the world’s most powerful passports are held by France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain, sharing the number one spot.
