Price of Petroleum Products is likely to Rise again in Pakistan

Following the approval by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) to raise the dealer margin on petrol, it is highly probable that the prices of petroleum products will go up once more.

A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar. According to the statement issued after the meeting, it has been approved to increase the dealer’s margin on petrol by one rupee 64 paise per liter after which petrol and diesel are likely to become more expensive from September 15.

According to the decision of ECC, in the first phase, the margin for oil marketing companies will increase by 47 paisa per liter from September 15. While the margin for dealers will be increased by Rs 1.64 per liter on petrol and diesel. In the first phase, the margin for dealers will be increased by 41 paise per liter from September 15.
