The Saudi embassy announced on Friday the donation of 100 tons of dates to Pakistan in preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
“As an act of goodwill, the government of Saudi Arabia is pleased to offer 100 tons of dates to its esteemed brethren in Pakistan, following the recommendation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,” the embassy stated.
The donation was presented to the Pakistani government in a ceremony at the Saudi embassy by Ambassador Nawaf Bin Said Al-Malki and Abdullah Al-Baqami, Director of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief).
This donation is intended to be distributed among the Pakistani community during Ramadan, symbolizing the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
